4th Grade Geography Lessons
Written by Marne Curtis Monday, 23 November 2009 00:00
The fourth Grade has been studying Geography of Idaho as part of our curriculum. We have learned about the highest and lowest points in Idaho, as well about the mountains, and rivers that are in our great state.
For a project our students made salt dough maps of Idaho. They brought the dough from home and with the help of parent volunteers cut out the shape of Idaho. After letting them dry for a couple of days the students painted the state green, the mountains brown and the rivers blue. The student even added Gooding County, and the state capital, Boise.
