Fifty-eight third graders met their Accelerated Reader (AR) goals for the second trimester. As a reward, GHS Reading Club presented them with an AR Carnival on March 8!!! The high school students decorated a cool fishing pond, twisted balloon animals, painted neat designs on faces, and told fortunes! Children colored their favorite bookmark and created a cereal necklace. There were several games to play like pin the tail on the donkey, hopscotch, and bean bag toss. A new booth this year was the Crazy Hat Photo Booth. Third graders could choose a hat from the rack of over 25 hats and pose for a creative photo! Refreshments of punch and fresh fruit were a welcome treat after the games were over! Congratulations to all the third graders who met their AR goal!
