Book Fair

Our fall Book Fair was quite successful. With the help of GHS Honor Society members, we set up the fair so we were ready to sell on Tuesday morning at 7:30 a.m. Parent volunteers showed students books from fun fiction to terrific true stories about snakes, skateboarding and world records. Library and other classes walked through the displays talking about books they enjoyed reading or wanted to purchase. We followed the theme, Read Around the World, by posting the word “read” in many different languages.
We kept the Fair open during Parent/Teacher Conferences so parents could browse the collection also. During the Fair, we held several guessing contests arranged according to grade level. Winners from each grade received a book from the Fair. People could purchase books for different classrooms following the Teacher’s Wish list that was posted. We really appreciate all the support we received during the Book Fair. Thank-you Gooding for helping us purchase more books for our GEMS libraries!
